  • Duo Glide Wheel Rims

    Hello,

For a late '62 Duo-Glide restoration, would a wheel rim with 43006-62 stamped into the rim be the correct rim?

If not, what would be the correct rim part#? Pictures of the correct rim detail would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again for all the help!

Maybe this link to a pic will work (I hope)

This is the 43006-62 wheel rim I'd like to use for a late '62 Duo Glide restoration. Correct for late '62?

I beleive it is the right wheel. The edge is rolled over a littler further than the earlier ones. It still is not a safety beaded wheel.

Thanks! This is really helpful - I can't thank you enough!

I think I get it now. For a '62, the rim is rolled over to the outside more and NOT a safety bead.

        Thanks much,

        IRon

        p.s.
Just curious; do you know what year the safety bead rim began to be used on Duo Glides?
