  • 6 volt battery options

I am looking for advice on replacing an existing 6 volt battery and box with those that are "correct". Several battery boxes now have the cut-out for a vent tube which so many replacement batteries have. Does anyone make a box without the cut-out, and are there 6 volt replacement batteries out there that vent through the filler plugs instead of a tube that hangs out the side of the battery box? Also, does anyone know how to acid-proof the inside of the box? I've heard that "Rhino" lining is battery acid proof.

I'm not sure about the box. You may be in the market for a sealed 6v jell-cell. They come in a few sizes.

Steve Blancard has this tech. article. I love it!
