need alittle info

Hi everyone, I need a little info. regarding the splashguard on the inner side of the inner primary. When viewed from the saddle, is it flat, angled toward the chain, or angled toward the engine? (no pictures available in Palmer's book.) Thanks in advance. Joe

It sticks out 90 degrees from the cover.
