  • Police Panhead wiring

What terminals are used for pursuit lights and speedo stop switch wiring? Which wires are routed inside the handlebars and which are clipped outside? Thanks for any FLE help.

The speedo hand lock switch is just a horn
switch on the right side of the handlebars. It
has a single wire that runs inside the handlebars
to terminal 23 on the front fork terminal panel.
I'm not positive how the pursuit lamps are wired.
I do have the factory installation instructions
for 68600-49 spotlamps kit. It shows the spotlamp
toggle switch wires running outside the handlebars.
The wiring instructions for it are:
      - remove existing red wire from terminal 9 and move
      to terminal 11.
      - connect spotlamp toggle switch red wire to terminal 11.
      - connect spotlamp toggle switch green wire to terminal 9.
      - connect spotlamp toggle switch black wire to terminal 12.
Connect spotlamps to terminal 12 as well.

No doubt police wiring is slightly different than
this, but hopefully this gives some clue as to
which terminals may have been used ... Perry
