speedo reset?

May be a dumb ques but i don't see how to reset the max speed hand on the speedo.
I have a 1941 Sport Scout. No indication whether a Corbin or Stewart Warner on the face of it, just says
"Indian" . I think it is an earlier speedo fit to the bike. How to reset the max-speed hand?

hi tom. there should be a push button on the left side of the speedo. you probably have a trip meter on that gauge to . they both reset the same way . i have a forty chief and the button is kind of quirky . i have to push it a few times or move the bike in gear forward some while pushing it or do it while your riding . hope this helps . john
