    working on a original paint 1970 flh, was Harley/amf still using 1038 bolts?, and if so were they cad, parkerized, or zinc

    here is my op 70 FLH, the 1038CP's look zinc to me

      Yes, but not everywhere, and as Larry says they appear to be zinc-plated. There is very limited information on the early cone shovels for restoration purposes so the only way to verify what is CP1038 would be to closely evaluate an original bike such as Larry's. And take pics so that perhaps you can help someone else on down the road.
