  • WTB Chief Frame and Matching Year Front Fork

I'm hoping to find out how difficult it may be to locate a Chief Frame and Front Fork in restorable condition.
I have a complete running spare Indian Chief engine that is in need of a frame. Hoping to build a "Bobber" and as unlikely as it may be, I'm looking for a 39 Rigid frame and Leaf Spring Fork.

If I can't find a Rigid frame I could most likely use a 41 to 45 Frame and Fork combination or a 46 to 48 Frame and Fork combination.
    Condition is not a problem.

I would sure appreciate any input from the club community on this site.

Success! I picked up a 47 Chief Frame off Ebay for under $1350.00
and enough parts to build a complete front fork.
    No longer looking!

Perfect, now dust off that camera and put-up an occasional photo or three in the Member Build topic area, would love to see what you've got going!

We'll do. When the time comes. The 47 Frame is in SoCal being strainghtened and having a couple missing footboard castings replaced. It needs and little TLC.
This Frame and the Fork Parts are for a future project while I finish my 48 Chief. My intent was to, over time, gather as many parts as needed to put a 47 together, so I'm off the a good start.
        Thanks for the encouragement.
