  • k model crank question

I have a k crank that I'm in the process of rebuilding. The thrust washers are pretty hammered looking but present and after assembling the crank I'm finding that I'm getting around .058" of rod end play. Obviously this is too much.

I haven't been able to find a source for K specific thrust washers and so far it looks like big twin, late xl and 45 washers don't fit.

My question is, does anyone know where to get the right washers and if there are any gotchas specific to K models? In the pictures you'll see that this bike has a regular taper pin and not a stepped pin, I had thought that k models used stepped pins.

If the pin is tapered those are KH flywheels. K's used a press in straight pin. The tapered pin is the same as Sportster, and only KRs used stepped pins for the big bearings. Early XL washers fit, or make a set of new ones. What are the casting numbers on those wheels?
