  • M-21 eshaust gasket leaking?

OK M20 or21 gurus, My '54 M-21 has a slight exhaust leak at the cylinder. I have looked around the 'net at the maintance manuals and forums and have found no info or illustrations for this exhaust junction. It has the finned collar but it doesn't seem to be involved in securing the joint.

What secures the pipe to the cylinder, just the lugs on the pipe and muffler bolted to the frame?

What type gasket is in there, and where or how can a replacement be had?

Where can I fint an illustration that shows this junction's assembly?

    Thanks, Wayne

You need to buy a parts manual. It shows the pipe going straight into the head without any gasket.
