  • 10-19-13 Last Hoo-rah AMC Fall Run

The Allegheny Mountain Chapter had its last run of the season. With temps in the high 30s and low 40s my better half "photographer" decided to take the day off so my pics are a bit anemic. We had around 12 hearty riders including 3-4 modern bikes.
There was a rain front closing in so it was overcast and while the fall foilage was at its peak and nice through the Laurel mountains, its always double nice when the sun is out. The ride was kept to about an hour giving us time to stop for grub and BS'ing so everyone could get home before the rain came. At 45 degrees no one was enthusiastic about getting wet! I covered about 130 miles for the day. Pulled in the garage and 10 minutes later it started raining.
With many members owning more than one bike, I never know what will show up. This rides unique bike was a 1974 (I think) SS-350 HD by Aermacchi. Never saw one of these before and for that matter didn't know they existed......since it didn't have an Indian badge.

Thanks for the pictures Jason. Maybe the weather wasn't perfect but I'll bet it will be a ride all of you put in the 'good memory bank'.
