Good to know as I had contemplated using them based on their web site. Think I will stick with John Bordas for now. Any others out there have any thoughts pro or con???

John Bordas has done several speedos for me with no problems. He is fair and honest.

I haven't personally had any work done by Bordas however EVERYTHING I have read has been in a most positive way. Fair, honest, on time, does what he says he will, excellent communication etc. Nothing but positive comments here and on other sites.

I can atest to Johns work and business ethics. He is straight up!! I just had him re-do the speedo and cable for my 47 knuckle. Couldn't be happier with the whole experience. I have several more to send to him now that he has settled from the move to Texas.

Another good person to know for speedo repair is Perry Ruiter in BC. Has rebuilt my '43 military and very satisfied. John and Perry are the 2 names that always come out for speedo repair. Perry likes to poked first by email before you send anything. Just my .02 cents.

I've heard good things about John but have to say that Perry's work is first rate as well. He's a fussy dude but that's good when it comes to restoration work!

I've had top-drawer work done by both of these fine gentlemen. John Bordas repaired an early Harley speedo cable for me, quickly, and Perry Ruiter completely restored both a '37 and a '38 dash board bases for me; both are indistinguishable from NOS, and the prices charged by both men were entirely reasonable.

Scott put a plastic stick-on cover over my old speedometer face. Not good at all.

Here's something Perry Ruiter put on the web that most-all Old Harley hobbyists can use:

                        http://www.ruiter.ca/mc/info/SWSpeedoDating.html

and it's a doorway to his modest website. ("Home" at the bottom)

just want to chime in on SCOTT SPEEDOMETER they are the worst!!!!! send them 2 57 harley speedos charged me a fortune to repair and needle was shakey at best, sent back twice and was told it was my cable , my gear etc... they never fixed it and threatened to keep the speedo if i didnt pay them for return shipping.. John Bordas came to the rescue and repaired it for me correctly....i sent scott speedo the bill and surprise , surprise never heard a word.......do yourself and never do business with these guys , tell everyone you know the same ...they are the most arrogant #@$holes in the business...

For the record I did file a claim with the BBB.Probably won't do any good.I sure spread the word and added a few comments on their web site.
