  • Indian 841 – ignition – rotor and points

Today, I picked up a Prestolite rotor with “4-11” and “IG-1657RA” on the box. I also got a set of points with “1-45V”; “IGS-2224LB”; and “1DT” on its box.

What do you think - should these work on my Indian 841?

George, you need to check with Drew Crafton. He has had some of the correct rotors and caps. They are different than anything else Indian ever used and not readily available. The rotor in particular is and extreme version of the hammerhead rotor usually used in that the arms are even longer. I don't know the parts numbers to compare to what you got, but 841 motors can be finicky without the right stuff.
