New here and hope to find some info about a Harley 45 I have with a strange VIN. the number is DR1358100AL, don't know where it came from, but its stamped on the case. As yet I have been unable to find out anything about this.

    Welcome BC,
Glad you took the plunge and joined up!
The number you are showing was a state assigned number. Most likely your 45 was built around an un-stamped set of cases or complete engine that was military surplus. The number would have been assigned at time of completion for titling purposes. If the title is good there is no problem with it. However it can never be judged as a correct bike since the number would be an instant DQ. For a rider, no problem.

Thanx for the help, It's in bobber configuration and just want it to teach the wife how to ride a hand shift. So any judging would not be AMCA !
