I'm looking for my dad's '47 Indian Chief. He sold it years ago, but I would like to find it. I have the early history and pictures of it, if the current owner doesn't want to sell it. The VIN # is; 7142 (Eng. # CDG7142 or frame # 3477142). Thanks, Larry

It was last in California. Bakersfield, when my dad sold it, but I'd heard from the next owner that it went to Lancaster. I have a few cool photos of it. I guess from what my dad said, it had Bonniville cams and some work to the engine. It did 110 MPH clocked time. It had a bobbed rear fender and chrome forks. It could be in pieces, but I have a the registration slip from 1950. The engine number on the slip reads BCDG 7142. I think they put the B for battery in front of the CDG letters.
