  • Jack Gormley

Let it be known that Jack slipped the earths surly bonds May 2nd. I knew Jack since the early 70's when I still lived in Socal and he would come down for the La Mirada meet. I ended up in his hometown of Sacramento in 1975. Jack was a collector of all types of mechanical things. His favorites were motorcycles, midget racers, tether cars, old cars, and OLD guns. He also owned and flew a nice P-22 Ryan airplane. He was on the National board for many years, and several years ago he was made an honorary member, he was also one of the main founders of our Fort Sutter Chapter in 1982. Jacks family was amoung the first to come to Sacramento during the gold rush. i believe it was his great grandfather who open the mortuary that is still in the family hands. Jack leaves behind his companion of some 35 year Sarah Winters. Rest in peace "Digger". Jack finally joined up with his best friends, Shorty Thompkins and Armando Magri. You three hold it down up there!
