Leaking Transmission on 1937 Junior Scout

I just finished reviving a 1937 Junior Scout which has been in my wife's family for 20 years. Unfortunately, when I started filling the transmission, it promptly started leaking from the primary sprocket side and from the clutch input shaft. Are there seals on either side for these models? Are there any good resources for parts and repair?

I believe there should be seals. Maybe they were overlooked on a previous reassembly?

When I did the gearbox in my 101 Scout I made up a new bearing retaining nut that incorporates a modern oil seal in it.
This replaces the original nut and felt seal that was originally fitted.
I made several of these and still have some left if you are interested.
As well as my 101 this mod has been fitted to a Chief and several 741B's so I see no reason why it won't fit your 37 Junior Scout.

Thanks for the replies! I cured the problem (rookie oil level mistake). Now I need to figure out why it won't go into gear when running??

Probably because you are not used to a Crash Box Tranny! You MUST Snap it, Firmly and Quickly, into first gear. ease it in, and it WILL Grind all day long.
