  • Bent hub & relacing a wheel

I tore down my 16" wheel to powder coat the hubs & rims and relace the wheels. To my surprise the flange on the rear hub was bent. I made a tool out of an old roller bearing and some hex stock and manage to get most of the bend out of it. I still have about .040 runout.
My question is: would the truing of the rim take care of any runout in the hub flange?

    Yes it will.

Sweet. I'll send them out to get powder coated. You can't tell just to look at it and it's barely noticable chucked up in the lathe. Just a slight shimy. .040 on the indicator.
