  • Forum sign-up dates not correct with new forum

I have noticed that a number of forum member's sign-up dates, including mine, has defaulted to the date this new version came on-line while some have not. What is the deal and can the member dates not default to the earlier version?

A small point to some, perhaps, but a matter of some pride to others.

    Thanks.

Along this same line, how do some members get a lower AMCA number? I know some earlier numbers have been reissued to members. I used to be proud that I was a member as long as I have been but some who joined latter than me have a lower number?

I assume some numbers maybe re assigned from those members who have resigned. I would hope....the numbers once possessed by deceast members would remain attached to those good people and be retired.

I originally joined in 1987, In 1992 took a long vacation from the club and rejoined in 2006. I asked about my old number ( which I still remember 3455 ). I was told they hold for a few years then reissue to new joining members. the first open number is issued.

my new ( 2006 ) number is now 6530 ( a difference of 3075 - there is no way only 3075 people joined since 1992 ) but I have seen numbers as high as 12xxx

            Hawg

I joined in 1984 and have number 3449, you might have got a reissued number the first time you joined in 1987, I'm sure more than 6 people joined from 1984 to 1987. But hey it's just a number, impress me by riding your old X around not by being number 387 or whatever.
