  • Front motor mounts.

On the front motor mounts on my 65 XLCH I now no that the bolts and washers are parkerized but what about the tubes that go between the mounting plates? Also the three nuts on the right side. Are they a flexnut or nylon stop nuts that year? cad or park? Thanks Lads, Bob L

As I told you in my E mail. Factoy photos show 1964 Parkerized and 1966 Cadmuim. My 1965 tubes are Parkerized.

Chris you are right that the studs and washers are parkerized. The spacer tubes is what I cant see and all the photos I have it looks like they could be ether. You didn't mention the tubes. The flex nuts on the right side? It appers in most of the photos that I have, there cad with a parkerized washer behind them. Somebody out there got to know.

As I posted above, " My 1965 tubes are Parkerized". This is on a 25,000 mile unrestored machine.

From my limited research, it seems that 1966 is the year that a lot of parts started switching to cadmium plating. But the best resource are original bikes, so I would agree with Chris since he has a pretty original '65 to go from.
