  • Rod to Stroke Ratio 6

SR. higher piston speed dictates opening the intake valve real early, this gives the hydrated air a chance to get moving. Now big plenum or shorty intact. Both have charecteristics that you can define precissley when tayloring the stroke the rod length (FINAL RUNNING PEAK COMP.)head volume, piston dia.working range that you have decided on. Carberated short intakes don't like direct ram air(to much turbulance it play's havic with the low pressure area over the jets). Start with hydra air reversing in the intake, every time the intake valve shuts acolum of H.A.is shoved backwards ,we can exploit it or lessen it's effect. When the pulse meets the incoming air it's shoving harder backward than the non H.A.coming in,this backwards moveing H.A.goes through the veture again picking up more fuel(good for on off throttle work)but we can minimize that minus.Start with the breather and air filter, centre carb inlet dead centre in your round filter your real short velocity stack does not blend in with back breater plate but sticks out prodomentley this way that reverse pulse gets right out of the intake real easy.CONT.
