  • Rod to Stroke ratio 4

llThe SR.can apply good pressure sooner because the slightest crank movement gives it some favorable rod angle witch results in good leverage on the crank pin early by the time it reaches maximum cylinder pressure it will be in favorable piston, rod, crank pin alignment.(Works best when rod to stroke ratio is well thought out,) there's lots of ways to do it wrong ,it's no fun being almost right. The EX. blow down on the power stroke is helped by the SR piston is slowing quickly keeping the combustion chamber smaller forcing more exhaust out into our scavenging EX.header once exhaust has momentum it wants to keep on going even though the blow down effect has dissipated, causing a vacuum helping scavenge the cylinder of spent gases, before the piston even begins to displace it.Less cylinder pressure helps keep momentum up.A quote from a WW1 Vet. I respected "There's never enough time to do it right. But there's always enough time to do it again"
