  • four front cam bearing

The front cam bearing on my 36 four is not a tight fit in the case. I can slip a .003 feeler guage between the bearing, and the case. The bearing must have been run loose for a time? does anyone know if anyone is making a slightly over size bushing.I have three front bushings and they all measure real close, so I know it is the case that has the O/S problem. I even thought about of having the bushing O/D hard chromed. Any thoughts appreciated. Stan

    Howdy Stan,

Guy Henderson runs a CNC shop and makes many of his parts including the camshaft bearings here I believe. If he's still doing this/making Four parts, probably wouldn't be a problem to produce an oversize OD on one. Biggest challenge will likely be cleaning up/align boring your case to establish OD.
    Cheerio,
