  • No wonder there are so few 36s left...

Saw this shot on the Wing Nuts Blog. Cool shot. Shift lever looks like 36 only. Can some of the experts see any other details?

His helmet is coming off, he's smoking a cigarette, and he's going to wreck a '36 EL. I'll bet when he was at the bottom of the hill he said; "Watch this. . . Hold my beer."

Something tells me this aint the first time he's tried this. He looks completely composed and in control, which is more than I can say about the guy standing on the hill in the back ground. Looks like he's sayin " Crap, I just dropped the last beer!"

The short jiffystand is also a '36 item.

Well - there is at least an outside chance that the rider of this bike could bring his bike back down but I have an old HD racing poster that shows a stock 36 EL (down to the 100 mph speedo & dash) minus a fender flip well over center and rider detached - that doesn't bod well for a lot of parts rare today.

There are a few pictures of Hank Reiman's 1936 out of position. This bike saw very few road miles as the story goes. Hank was originally from Port Edwards, Wisconsin.

Here is a picture of him and the bike in the late 1940's. Bike is owned by his grandson and resides today at Eau Claire Sport Motors. The bike was actively campaigned into the late 60's. The only 36 parts left are the cases. It has a panhead top and bowleg frame.

                  Awesome

I enjoy looking at photos from the past of our lifestyle as it was before...and yes they're totally into the Man Sport DareDevil on a Motorcycle. Gotta love it. Thanks
