  • Looking for Knuckle Head front brake shoes

I have a single leading shoe conversion for a 1915 Harley made by Pat Murphy. It takes front Knuckle Head shoes but the aftermarket ones from V-Twin don't work. Does anyone have a suggestion on where to get some relined or NOS genuines?

    Thanks,
    Rick

Try E-bay ... I did a search on "knucklehead brake shoes" (clicking the box for searching the "body" of the auctions as well as the title), and got three hits ... A pair of OEM brake shoes relined for $22, a nice pair of likely aftermarket shoes for $66, and an NOS pair of brake linings and rivets for $9.99 (w/box). I have seen these on ebay very often.

      Thanks Nuck,
I checked a couple of times and didn't see anything. I guess my timing is off.

        I amy have some

I just re-did the brakes on my 46. Did the sidecar also which I think uses the same as the fronts. If you want the old ones, you can have them!
