I Have a stock 64 panhead. The bike has Harley spark plugs ( 3,4 ) in it now, but they are in rough shape. I would like to replace with harley plugs but the parts book shows a few type 3,4 - 2 - 4 ect. What would be the correct # plug for my bike?

The3-4 plugs should work pretty good for general service. If you don't absolutly need H-D plugs may I recomend Autolite's plugs, they seem to work really well. Would have to go out to the garage to get the numbers. If you want them let me know

      Spark plugs

      Thanks Brian,

I just wanted the HD plugs for show. I would have no problem running Autolite on a regular basis. What is the difference in the HD plug #s ?

Heat range is what the numbers refer to. The lower the number the hotter the plug. 3-4 is a special purpose plug for all around use. Have had to run a 3 in one cylinder and a 4 in the other to get some to run proper for the way they were riden.
