  • Pan Transmition Identification Help

Been going thru some boxes and came across a pan trans that I have had for quite a while I was told that it was a 55-56 trans.

The numbers on the inside of the starter cover are 33-49

The numbers on the underside of the trans located are as follows below roughly in that location.
The "33" is part of the casting, the remainder are stamped in to the body of the gear box.

    33 2E

    12 35

Any help in identifing this would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks in advance

The neutral light puts the ratchet top from 59 and later. Give us a photo of the tranny case looking down from the top. Is there no boss, a breather or a breather boss? Also looking from the front, is the hole for the reverse shaft machined or not? (some later pan footshift cases were not). Is there a slot under the mainshaft bearing? ... Perry
