  • XLCH Horn

    Hi,

As we all know, original XLCH 6-volt horns seem to be both rare and expensive. I have not found one in the three years that I've been looking.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket replacement that I can use on my '64 until I find an OEM horn??

Bill J&P Cycle has some 6volt horn kits, but not sure exactly what components comprise the original 1964 6volt 'XLCH' model.

Was it a plain horn with 6 holes surrounding a center hole on its front side or did it also have a round cover?

I wouldn't think the XLCH would have a trumpet style horn. Hrdly

      THANKS FOR THE LEAD HRDLY.

Yes - you are correct - it is the horn with the circular holes radiused around the center, no cover.

Trumpet horn was on earlier models and some XLH models.

I remember there was one for sale on e'bay awhile back. First one I'd ever seen. I was looking for an original XL carb at the time. Looked realy cool with the holes in it.

I think it went for well over $100.00 which is why I didn't bid on it. Hrdly
