What was the flywheel balance factor on the big twins in the 60's?

    Rick -

Of all of the ones of that vintage (that I've checked), 55% (give or take a percent) is what I've found, from stock engines. However, some of the dealers who actually did such work, along with some small old-time race shops, would drop the factor to the low 50's. Made for a bit quicker revs. Not that it mattered much on a full dress machine. But, you might feel the difference in a bobber.

I back-calculated a couple, and found about the same as Jack did.
