    Since you already know it's a Bosch I can't do much better than that. In the 30's (starting around 36 or37) Indian offered the Bosch Voltomatic generator as an option over the Autolite (the Voltamatic was the same diameter as the Autolite). Yours doesn't look like a Voltomatic and since it fits a 101 bracket the implication is it's the same diameter as a Splitdorf. Apparently 101's exported to Europe were fitted with Bosch electrics on arrival, but I always thought that meant the DVAR combination generator/magneto. Perhaps not and sometimes an independent generator was fitted. Bosch are generally high quality. From the position of the field coil screws it looks like this has four field coils rather than the usual two, so perhaps it's a two stage unit where the output increases as the demand increases (certainly that was a Voltomatic feature) ...
