  • Hi-Fi Red Over Birch, whats best?

I have a great unrestored 60 Pan...I am not going to restore it...but it was repainted many years ago and not nice enough to live with given the condition of the bike. It was layed on too heavy, the color isnt right, and the line on the tank is wrong.
That said, if you have to repaint, what do you use? I want the color to look as close to original as possible. ie. I looked into the "Pierce Color Write" as advertised in the Winter 2005 "The Antique Motorcyle", but I do not want to reinvent the wheel.
    So, whats you suggestion?
    Thanks,
    Bob

I called John Pierce today (Pierce Color Write). Nice guy, spent a lot of time with me to explain what I needed. The price is fair, a little less than I expected (having painted a few Hotrods).
Not having anything to compare...I'll probably go with him.
