35 vl shift--clutch

I have a 35 vl that i rebuilt and the engine runs great but i have a problem with the clutch every once and a while, i shift into first then the clutch will not completly dis-engage, if i shift into second it will dis engage.This does not allways happen but it does seem to be happening more and more. If anyone has any advice iam listening, thanks chris

i have a 35 vld, since the clutch doesn't know what gear you're in i think it has to be a linkage problem, probably the clutch release lever tooth is sitting between teeth on the comb on top of the tranny, i hope this helps, dave
