    Robert Steiner
We have come to the end of an era. It is sad to say the last surviving sales representative of the original Indian Motocycle company has passed away on January 4, 2005, at the age of 83.

Robert Steiner was active in motorcycling for many, many, years. Last Labor Day weekend he attended the motorcycle swap meet and banquet in Davenport, Iowa. He was honored along with many others of the motorcycle industry at this banquet.

He worked for Indian off and on in the late 1940s and then became the Midwest sales representative for Royal Enfield Indian and Matchless from 1955 until 1962. Bob also worked for Sachs, BMW and Continental Motor Corporation over the years. He had won and participated in several motorcycle events up until 1976.

Robert J. Steiner of Brown Deer, Wisconsin, is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Carole, his son Terry, daughter, Judy Marino, sister Jane Raschka, two grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.
